Earlier this year, the H.O.P.E. Network at the Metro-Urban Institute held an initial community training workshop through the Community Conversations on Race and Faith. Non-violence and bias training workshop facilitator Brian Johnson led the group through an interactive session that provided insights into the biases that can often lead to disagreements that result in violence. By learning verbal and non-verbal forms of communication, participants were able to take information with them to start implementing in their communities and ministries (including creative arts ministries - poets).
